A lovely family in Gosforth are looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper to provide care for their little boy aged 22 months. This will be a mixed role of childcare and general housekeeping duties associated with a busy professional family. Flexibility is essential to work around the schedule of the parents.

Childcare duties will include:

* Looking after all aspects of childcare, ensuring the child's happiness, safety and general wellbeing
* Planning of a variety of learning opportunities to ensure a variety of fun activites and outings to help with age appropriate learning and development
* Planning and preparing a range of healthy meals
* Children's laundry duties
* Keeping children's play, bedroom and general areas clean and tidy

The family have good established routines in place and they would like this to continue.

Housekeeping duties will include:

* Supporting the family with their household routines,
* Supermarket shopping and errands
* Keeping the home in good, clean and efficient running order
* Family laundry and ironing
* Some food left for mum when she returns from a busy day at work would be most appreciated
* The family have a friendly dog and it would be helpful if someone could take the dog for a walk

The family are looking for someone who they can rely upon to be there and provide the best of care and support in a fun and relaxed manner.

Mum runs a very successful and expanding business and is looking for someone with a calming influence who will be happy to be with the family on a long term basis. Dad works away usually 4 weeks at a time and therefore as much support for mum would be appreciated, especially when she has to travel for business.

The family are looking to keep some element of nursery attendance, and therefore on those days collection from nursery will be required.

The position offers around 29 hours a week, however for the right person there may be some additional hours available up to around 36 hours per week.

Hours required are likely to be: Tuesday and Thursday working from 8.00am until 6.00pm AND Monday, Wednesday and Friday working from 4.00pm until 7.00pm. The shorter days are nursery days, the family will consider reducing the nursery attendance to give the nanny 3 full days of work plus 2 shorter days. There will be the occasional overnight requirement if both parents are working away.

A driver with transport will be most helpful, however this is not an essential requirement. The priority is finding the perfect person who has the right skills, experience and personality to suit this family.

The family are looking for someone with a positive, bright manner, someone with a proactive approach to working within a family environment. Common sense, great organisation abilities and a great level of energy and imagination to keep the little boy occupied would be most helpful for this family.
