Ahana is a bright, engaging and determined 10-year-old who values being as independent as possible. She is very inquisitive, smart and loves to be active. Some of her interests include supercars, astronomy and learning about animals. Ahana has Cerebral Palsy with four limb dystonia and requires 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 waking night support.
The role will involve assisting Ahana with all aspects of her care plan, day and night support and implement therapy. Her care team will ensure Ahana is reaching her full potential and her independence is continually being promoted.
You will be positive, caring and flexible candidates who can work as part of a team and cover sickness, absences and holidays to ensure Ahana has the support she requires throughout the day and night.
We are looking for a team of people to support Ahana as follows: after school 3.15 pm to 10.15 pm, at weekends and school holidays 9.00 am to 9.00pm, these hours can be divided. Also waking nights staff 10.00 pm to 9.00 am.
You will have the opportunity to further your skills and knowledge by working alongside some fantastic therapists involved with Ahana’s development and of course supporting a fabulous young lady with huge potential and a great sense of humour!
We’re recruiting for several positions for Ahana’s care team, so if you are interested in working on a more part-time basis (days and/or nights), we’d love to hear from you.
