Delightful young multicultural family based in Zurich but travel extensively welcomed their first baby girl to the world in February 2024 and are seeking an easy going, super organised, native French or Russian speaking caregiver to take over from their maternity nurse in May.

Though based in Zurich, candidates should be ever ready for travel at short notice and happy to accompany the family for regular international trips sometimes for many weeks at a time. Due to this element visa restrictions mean we are only able to consider candidates under 30 years old at this time.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a long term role working with a young growing family who look forward to welcoming more children in the imminent future. Baby will be 3-months old at the start of the post and is already in a wonderful rhythm.

Seeking a flexible team player who is comfortable to cover nights and share care with doting, very hands-on mum. Though primary responsibilities are typical nursery duties, the three affectionate dogs in the home are very much part of the family so a dog lover who would be happy to help with them or the household at times is essential for the harmony of this role.

The family take a gentle approach providing warm, responsive care and following baby’s cues and would like someone who operates with a similar style; particularly with an understanding of early years development, child psychology and the Montessori method, or someone willing to learn.

The candidate will be French or Russian mother tongue or fluent second language and be comfortable conversing solely in French or Russian with the baby from the beginning. English and German are the languages spoken in the household.

Driver’s licence, training in paediatric first aid, previous experience working with newborns and the early years, warm disposition, travel ready, animal lover, available long term, native French with English, German and or Russian would be beneficial.
