Nanny-Housekeeper
SUMMARY:

I'm looking for a live out nanny housekeeper who is a great cook, to work part time to help a busy family. We have two children (11&13). We need somebody who can drive to help with school runs & to run local errands to support two working parents. Cleaning not needed. Flexible hours approx 21 hrs / pw @ £17-£20 ph + petrol.

ABOUT US

We are a family of 4 living just outside Dorking.

Our daughter is 13 and our son is 11. They both go to a school 15 minutes away finishing around 5 or 6 with clubs on Wednesdays. We also have a small dog. My husband and I both work full time, sometimes from home but mostly in London.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone to help run our home, care for the children and occasionally the dog! We are looking for help for approximately 20 hours a week, with the flexibility to do a few extra hours if needed when we work late, and if possible in school holidays.

Core hours are (flexibility around start time):
Monday 2-7pm
Tuesday 1-7pm
Wednesday 2-6pm
Thursday 1-7pm

We mostly need help from someone to stay on top of the large amounts of daily washing, folding and putting away clothes. Tidying the house to keep things in place. Cooking for the children and collecting them from school. Occasionally walking the dog and overall running the house in terms of food shopping, childrens uniforms, homework etc.

ABOUT YOU

You need to love cooking & come up with and make varied, healthy meals from scratch for the children - one fussy child so you need to be inventive!

You need to be proactive and responsible - we are looking for someone who is able to take responsibility for the running of the house - food shops, running errands, keeping it super tidy, making beds, occasional ironing (the cleaners iron too).

You need to be kind and caring - the children are fairly self sufficient but they still need looking after and someone who wants to take an interest in their lives, especially in the holidays when they love to do fun and active outdoor things.

You need to be flexible - happy to help out with a varied day to day to help a busy family and for the role to be more nanny focused during the school holidays - coming up with ideas for things for the children to do. We both lead busy lives so we’re really keen to find someone who can help keep an eye on the house, the food in the fridge or even if the kids have lost some clothes to help us keep on top of everything!
