A live-out nanny/family assistant is required for two children ages 6 and 12. 

The family are happy for the nanny to work four days or five days depending on their wishes. A five-day-per-week schedule would be Monday - Thursday from 11 - 7 pm and on Friday from 10 - 5.30 pm. Four days a week schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 11 - 7 pm and Friday 10 - 5.30 pm.

The six-year-old and twelve-year-old are both in a local Dutch school Monday - Friday and attend a variety of local activities. You must be confident cycling the youngest child in the electric urban arrow bakfiets. Her brother will cycle next to you or come home on his own.

Both children are sporty, they would love a nanny who is keen to play board games, do activities and genuinely wants to build a strong relationship with them. The eldest takes regular medication for ADD, the nanny/family assistant will need to assist/monitor. You need to be happy to help with homework, encourage good manners, and support their education.

It's a Dutch-speaking household they would love an English-speaking nanny. Both children have a good command of English. 

Ideal candidates have worked in similar roles, with children of similar ages, are confident taking their initiative, and are naturally proactive in supporting busy working parents. Someone who can meet the children’s needs is fun and upbeat, and ensuring the smooth running of the household is essential.

Your day will begin with family assistant duties and your afternoons will be focused on the children. Family assistant duties include doing the family's laundry, changing the children's bedding, running errands, loading and unloading the dishwasher, cooking for the family, and vacuuming the kitchen daily. Cleaning and ironing are not your responsibility. You will need to leave the house tidy and the kitchen clean at the end of the day.

Someone passionate about cooking fresh healthy meals and snacks for the family is required. The parents will also do some of the cooking. The family is very organized and has structured the nanny/family assistant schedule so you have time to complete the duties and spend time with the children. 

You will also be responsible for walking the adorable hypo-allergenic five-year-old dog and taking him to the vets and groomers when needed.

They can't guarantee you will travel with them but would like a candidate open to travel once or twice a year.

The nanny needs to be happy to take their vacation during the school holidays.

Ideally, you have a driver's license.

The family lives a five-minute walk from Bloemendaal station and a ten-minute drive or train ride from Haarlem.

The family is looking for someone happy to proxy parent (if required) and do some extra hours in the school holidays.

This is a great role for a career nanny. They need someone who can commit for a minimum of a year ideally two years.
