Salary: £50k-£60k (Dependant on skills, experience and previous earnings)

A loving, warm professional family is seeking an organised, structured, proactive, experienced Nanny to join their household on a permanent, longstanding basis. While the parents both have busy, demanding work lives, they would like a nanny who will work in partnership with them in the care of their children and have excellent communication.

An ideal nanny for the family will have excellent professional experience caring for two or more young children, qualified in child development and routine. They would like a nanny who is highly experienced with the development milestones of toddlers and preschoolers. The nanny will provide a balance between doing plenty of one-on-one developmental play, engaging the children in reading, games, music, creative activities and outings to group activities or the park. You will support the no screens approach and plan appropriate activities around the house, to classes and playdates. The older child currently attends nursery a few mornings a week and this will increase as of September.

As both parents work full time and often need to travel for their work, they would like their nanny to keep them regularly updated on the children, their development and any issues. The family would love a nanny who really loves to collaborate and work in partnership with families. Flexibility to start earlier, stay later or do proxy parenting by arrangement will be required. The nanny will need to do 3 hours of babysitting included during the week. The family has weekend help. They respect that their nanny gets time off over the weekends, unless they need the nanny to do any proxy parenting weekends by arrangement.

Other duties required are cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the children (low sugar) and ideally preparing extra to freeze or for the weekends. Undertake nursery duties related to the children and keep the house organised. The family has a 2nd home in Kent and would like a nanny to come to Kent at times to care for the children on holidays. A confident driver would be preferred. The majority of activities the children do are in their local area accessed by walking or the bus.
A nanny who is flexible and willing to run ad hoc errands would be appreciated.

The eldest girl has just started nursery school and is very playful, bright and creative.. She loves having lots of play, reading, games and other activities. The youngest is being weaned, is very much on the move and loves to be included in activities around his nap’s.

Accommodation provided is a large separate one bedroom in the basement with a separate entrance. Parking is available.
