This is a vegetarian household. A professional couple with a 10-year-old boy are seeking a daily or live-in nanny who has experience caring for special needs children. The nanny will be a key member of their household and take sole charge.
The boy attends a special needs school. He has Autism with no oral communication and at times, struggles with sensory. This can create anxiety. For communication, he uses an app on his ipad and although he is unable to speak, he understands well. He is described as gentle and affectionate. He loves being outdoors, visiting museums, parks, trampoline parks and swims once a week. He enjoys bike rides. His diet is clean – plant based and no gluten. He can shower on own and requires support with brushing teeth and getting dressed.

Duties. The Nanny will be responsible for the daily care of the boy which includes: - getting him up and ready for school. Breakfast and school run. Afterschool routine of keeping him busy with outdoor play when weather permits, indoor activities – games. Dinner and bath/bed routine. School holidays, plan day trips, social dates and have fun. Domestic duties related to the boy and light housekeeping to keep the family home organised. Cooking for the boy – plant-based meals.

We are seeking a nanny that has a passion to work with special needs and committed to the daily care and well-being of the child. You must be kind, understanding and patient. Enjoy being outdoors and active. Mature and responsible who will provide excellent support to the family. Bonus if willing to travel with the family on holidays. No meat allowed in the family home.
