We are looking for a calm, kind, unflappable and experienced full-time LIVE OUT Nanny who is on the ball and able to join a very lively down to earth household. The family have four fabulous bright, active, and energetic children ages 6 months, 2.5, 4 and 7 years old. We are looking for someone to work on a sole charge basis in a team with another nanny who will live in, and really support the parents with their children and their busy schedules.

The live-out nanny role requires the nanny to start at 7.30 am and finish at 6.30 pm. All the children are in an excellent routine, and it is important you are highly organised, a good timekeeper and can plan ahead. There will be a mix of sharing the role and responsibilities with the other nanny such as doing the nursery and school run together, caring for the baby while the older three are at nursery/school, managing all the nursery duties and keeping everything running efficiently. In the afternoons there will be a mix of teamwork depending on the day and the children’s activities. It is essential you are a team player, like attention to detail and have a positive, upbeat “can do” attitude.

The family are looking for someone who has experience with babies from 6 months and children of all ages so you can support the family on a long-term basis. The children can be challenging at times so they need a skilled consistent nanny who can read the situation, take charge, and not get flustered. They like a firm yet fair approach with clear boundaries and want the nanny to encourage the children to learn to express themselves and be kind to others.

It is important you can have fun and engage with the children in a positive way taking an interest in each child individually. The parents really value their children’s education and would love a developmentally focussed nanny who can challenge the children and support them to reach their potential and milestones. The most important thing is that you genuinely love children and are very kind to them.

The family enjoy travelling approximately four times a year (not over Christmas) and would like to take one of their nannies on each trip. In the summer they would want both nannies to travel for up to three weeks at a time. You would always have your own room and bathroom when away and the schedule is often more relaxed and lots of fun.

This role will suit a very patient, playful, engaging kind of nanny who is able to talk to children at their level. The parents are very supportive and really value their nannies. They would like someone who is confident, able to offer them advice and suggestions who respects their values and routines.

You must be a fluent English speaker and be confident to help with homework and supervise this as the children get older.

LOCATION: Notting Hill/Lancaster Gate, W2

START: Ideally June 17th

DAYS: Monday to Friday

HOURS: 7.30 am – 6.30 pm (9 am start on Mondays)

PAY: Excellent gross market rate depending on experience

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Keeping all children’s areas tidy and organised, children’s laundry & ironing
• Preparing healthy fresh meals for the children and cleaning up after
• Taking the children to and from nursery/school, activities, or days out
• Working in a team with the other nanny and liaising with the parents
• Children’s homework/reading support and supervision (mainly for the eldest)
• Planning and arranging age-appropriate activities, especially for the baby
• Travel up to three or four times per year
• Packing and unpacking for holidays
• Mucking in with unpacking Ocado shop weekly, emptying the dishwasher etc.
