Overview

A wonderful British-Singaporean family living in Dubai is seeking a fun, energetic, responsible, and passionate nanny to help care for their sons aged 6-months and 2.5-years-old. This is a live-in position with the schedule being Monday through Friday and approximately a 40-45 hour working week. Both parents work, with occasional travel involved, and Mum can work from home 3 days per week. There could be rare instances when you would be required to proxy parent if both parents are traveling for work simultaneously.
Their eldest son is bilingual and has a Mandarin-speaking governess who comes to the house 8-10 hours per week. This is an animal-friendly household, with the family owning 2 Shetland sheepdogs, so you must be comfortable being around them; though they will not be the candidate’s responsibility.

Responsibilities

You would be responsible for both children, but there may be times you will be working alongside Mum
You will be required to drive their eldest child to and from nursery
Encourage the children to meet their educational milestones
Plan and organize classes, activities, and playdates
If the candidate could prepare the food, it would be a plus, but they do have housekeepers to do this if not

Qualifications

It would be preferred if the candidate has a qualification in childcare
A driver is required, and they would need a clean license
A Mandarin-speaking candidate would be a bonus
It is a requirement for the nanny to speak an additional language - this can be either French, Spanish, or Arabic.

Requirements

Must be a strong swimmer
Position is to start around September
Having some experience working abroad would be preferred
The candidate would be required to travel at least twice a year with the family to London, Spain, and Singapore
Should be able to work in a team
Ensure their eldest child has fun but understands there are boundaries

Salary and Benefits

The family will provide accommodation for the candidate
A transport allowance will be provided, and you will be provided a family car to use during working hours
The family will provide the visa and health insurance.
30 days annual leave.
You will be provided with a return flight home once per year
The family are offering £70,000 per year depending on experience.
