Position Title: Live-In Housekeeper / Nanny / Personal Assistant

About Us: We are a busy family with two wonderful children, aged 11 and 14, and a small, friendly dog. We are looking for an experienced, organised, and above all warm & friendly live-in Housekeeper/Nanny/Personal Assistant to join our family. The ideal candidate will be responsible, caring, proactive and capable of managing a variety of household tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Childcare:
• Provide attentive and responsible care for our two children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with morning and evening routines, including preparing breakfast and dinner, helping with school uniform, PE kits, after school clubs & ensuring timely bedtimes.
• Assist with driving children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
• During the school holidays, plan and supervise age-appropriate activities and outings to promote physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
Household Management:
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized household environment.
• Care of beds, changing linen & preparing for guests.
• Wardrobe organisation & management; maintaining all drawers.
• Manage household supplies and grocery shopping. Helping with dinner parties and lunches for guests.
• Oversee home maintenance and coordinate with service providers for repairs and maintenance as needed.
Cooking:
• You must be interested in good food & experienced at cooking for fussy children.
• Prepare nutritious, creative, varied and balanced meals for the children. We eat some but not a lot of meat – mostly fish and vegetarian meals.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized at all times.
Pet Care:
• Occasionally look after our small dog, including feeding, walking, and general care.
Personal Assistance:
• Assist with personal errands, including shopping, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence.
• Provide administrative support, such as managing household budgets, paying bills, and coordinating family schedules.
• Driving to / from the train station (approx. 30 mins) to assist with commuting schedules.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on childcare and household management.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and your own car.
• Competence & experience at driving in the English countryside and driving children.
• A love for children, animals and the countryside. Our home is in a wonderful area of outstanding natural beauty.
• Love for cooking & baking.
• Ability to proactively spot what needs doing in a home.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Knowledge of local area preferable but not essential.
