Job Summary:
This lovely family based in Highbury & Islington with 2 happy, bright and inquisitive boys are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic nanny who truly loves working with children and is passionate about supporting the children’s individual learning and development. This is a long term role - the family are expanding their family in the future so experience with babies would be an advantage.
The role will be 5 days a week in term time ( 38 hours) and 4 days a week ( 40 hours) during the holidays.
They are an informal family for whom the boys are their top priority and they really want to find someone who will become an integral support and part of the family. The children are bright, social and creative, they enjoy being out and about as well as enjoying creative play and educationally focused activities at home. The youngest attends a local Montessori part time ( 5 min walk), and the eldest will be starting at school in September (20 min car drive). The family are also are members of a local club with soft play, swimming pool and lots of classes so there are plenty of activities on offer.
The family employ a weekly cleaner and they don’t have any pets. Their ideal nanny will be loving and reliable, and a great role model for the children

It is essential you are a confident driver in London ( 4x4 car provided for work purposes) for the school run and taking to and from activities.

General duties:
• All childcare duties - creating a happy and supporting atmosphere for the boys, focusing on safety and helping with emotional and educational growth
• School and Montessori drop offs and pickups (Mum will help with these when working from home / Friday)
• Taking the boys to activities, play dates and clubs – music, football, swimming
• Actively engage with the children, planning fun, age-appropriate creative and educational activities that stimulate their development in the holidays and afterschool.
• Cooking , meal planning fresh healthy family meals ( No dietary restrictions)
• Assisting with homework and making sure they are on top of everything to do with school.
• Going for walks and to the park and playground to get fresh air
• Nursery duties –keeping play areas/bedroom and toys tidy and organised , keeping kitchen clean after meal times
• Responsible for the children’s laundry
• Ideally willing to travel 1 or 2 weeks per year with the family ( approx. a week at time) in Europe

Candidate requirements:
• Confident driver, family have duty car for Nanny to use
• Someone warm, friendly, reliable and well organised who is creative and fun!
• Ideally with educational childhood qualifications
• Experience from newborn through to older children - implementing routines and helping with development
• Must be a confident cook who loves cooking tasty healthy meals for the family
• Firm but fun and a good role model for the children
• Willingness to travel occasionally would be a positive
• Longevity in previous roles

DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
