This wonderful family of four got in contact with Arthur’s House as they are looking for a positive, energetic and engaging nanny to join them later this year. This active household are seeking to find a nanny who is happy to get out and about in nature with their charges as well as being adept at managing fun and stimulating activities in the home. Someone with a great handle on creating nutritious toddler meals and who has prior experience as a nanny would be preferred. If you’re an enthusiastic nanny with great initiative who is looking for their next long term role, this may well be an opportunity not to be missed.

The Role

- Support with nursery drop-offs and pick-ups during term time for the eldest
- Caring for younger son when toddler is at nursery, and/or older son when at home
- Assisting with children's daily routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime
- Supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities and educational play
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Changing nappies and assisting with potty training for the youngest when needed
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment in the children's play and living areas
- Monitoring children's emotional and physical health, reporting any concerns to parents
- Organising outdoor activities and excursions to promote physical activity and exploration
- Administering medication as directed by parents (if applicable)
- Keeping a log of daily activities, meals, and any significant events for parents
- Organising and managing play dates, cooking together, arts & crafts, going to the library, a museum, gym classes, music recitals or the local park as well as exploring the immediate environment as we have fields on our doorstep
- Some light housekeeping. This family also employ a cleaner but would expect the nanny to pick up basic tasks when there is time to do so: including but not limited to loading/unloading the dishwasher and washing up, vacuuming floors, laundry and ironing, sorting toys etc
- Planning and preparing delicious and nutritious meals for the boys
- Taking the dog for walks when out and about where possible. An animal lover would be a great match for this family

- First aid knowledge: Certified in basic first aid
- Nutritional awareness: Understanding of healthy meal planning and preparation
- Physical stamina: Energy to keep up with active children throughout the day
- Problem-solving abilities: Quick thinking to handle unexpected situations
- Knowledge of child development stages: Understanding age-appropriate behaviours and milestones
- Familiarity with Montessori principles would be seen as a benefit
- Right to Work in the UK, excellent references from previous employers and an up to date DBS check
