Governess Position - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A VIP family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a professional English governess to support and educate their nine-year-old son. The ideal candidate will be warm, approachable, and act as a supportive and nurturing figure, similar to a big sister. Applicants should be native English speakers, preferably from the UK or Australia, with a blend of fun, friendliness, creativity, and professionalism.

Position Details:

Start Date: September 20th, 2024
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Hours: 12 hours per day, 6 days a week (with the child attending school during weekdays)
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: £4,500 net per month (tax-free)
Contract: Long-term, permanent
Medical Insurance: Provided
Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom; room sharing may be required during travel
Holiday: 30 days paid annual leave
Travel: 1 return economy class ticket home per calendar year

Responsibilities:

Provide attentive care and supervision for the child.
Assist with schoolwork, assignments, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure the child's well-being and support their English language development.
Teach and reinforce good manners and etiquette.
Travel with the family as needed and assist with packing and unpacking.
Communicate regularly with the school and keep the parents informed.
Requirements:

Experience as a governess or a teaching background is highly desirable.
Native English speaker (British or Australian preferred).
Valid passport, current first aid certification, recent police check, and checkable references required.
