3-Day Nanny Position – Walthamstow
Children: G3 and B5
Location: Walthamstow (Nearest Tube: Walthamstow Central)
Start Date: Now-November 2024,
Hours: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday, 8am-6pm (30-33 hours per week)
Flexibility to start at 7am and additional babysitting when required. Family can an extra full days during school holidays if required.

Family Details:
We are a warm, fun-loving family with two confident and sweet children – a boy aged 5 and a girl aged 3. Our son attends school, which is a 15-minute walk from home, and our daughter goes to part-time nursery, just five minutes away. We also have a gentle old dog who requires minimal care.
Job Description:
We are looking for a fun, energetic, confident, and organised nanny to take sole charge of our children, and become part of the family.

Key responsibilities include:
Childcare Duties:
Arrive in the AM to do school drop off of B5 to school
Engage G3 in morning activities such as local playgroups or classes drop her at nursery at 1pm
Cultivating a social network for the G3, by researching and planning activities and classes in the area.
While the children are at school and nursery the nanny is responsible for preparing the evening meal, a kid friendly meal for the whole family, doing laundry, preparing a snack for afternoon and once a week walking the dog.
The school and nursery are a short work from home, the nanny will collect the children on foot and bring them home, give them a snack, assist B5 with his homework (including reading) and make learning fun. The children play together really well, they love to be outdoors, they love reading and are very well mannered and polite, not much disapline is needed.
The nanny will engage with the children in play and creative activities in the home.
Keep their belongings organised and ready for the next day.

Additional Requirements:
Ad hoc babysitting for the family most weeks.
Having the flexibility to work additional hours during school holidays would be a bonus, the family could offer extra full days if the nanny was open to this.

Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a nanny who is fun, active, and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative. The ideal candidate will be able to organise the children’s schedules and take full advantage of what the Walthamstow area offers for children. Someone with a love for animals and the ability to connect well with our family would be a great fit. Someone who enjoys cooking and a driver’s licence would be a plus, but not essential.
