GBN 443 Rota nanny 2 weeks on/off (live-out, studio apartment in their building provided), Lyon, France, 4000 EUROS gross per month
A lovely family residing in Lyon, France is seeking a permanent live-out rota nanny for the care and education of their son aged 4 years to work alongside their current nanny. The boy is bilingual in French and English and previously had a long-term nanny from the USA. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker, as the family would like the boy to continue to learn English through care and play. The candidate must hold a European passport with the right to live and work in France. This role requires a nanny with a driving license and who is confident driving on the right side of the road, with experience driving children, too. The nanny should be naturally gentle and caring and understand how to support and manage children’s emotions, especially when the child is feeling overwhelmed or emotional. They would prefer someone who has an ease with non-gendered education and be able to create age-appropriate intellectually stimulating activities for the child both inside and outside of the home.
The family take a Montessori approach to their son’s education, whilst this is desirable it is not mandatory for the role, although an openness to learn more about it will be welcomed along with teaching experience and communicating to the child in a very gentle way. The role is to start ASAP, and the family offers 4000 Euros gross per month. The hours may vary during your work shift, but on average the working hours will be around 10 per day with 1-2 nights baby sitting per week and very occasional proxy parenting.
