A fantastic opportunity for a Part time Housekeeper who is Child Friendly to join a wonder but busy family in Cardiff!

Job Summary:
We are a busy, loving family in Cardiff seeking an experienced, child-friendly Housekeeper to join our household. The family have two homes located 30 mins away from each other. Both parents work full time so need a candidate who is meticulous with cleaning and organizing. The main focus of this role is cleaning, laundry/ironing and cooking healthy meals for the family.

Days and Hours:

• Monday to Friday – 1pm to 5pm (20 hours per week)
• Monday, Thursday and Fridays – 10:30am to 5:30pm (21 hours per week)



Job specification:
• Housekeeping: Laundry & ironing, cooking healthy family meals (meal planning), tidying, cleaning, and ensuring the home is well-maintained.
• Childcare: School drop-offs/pick-ups when needed (walking distance), supervising and engaging with the children, preparing snacks and meals, assisting with activities, and occasional babysitting (paid extra).
• Errands & Admin: Running errands (shopping, post office, dry cleaning), helping with household admin, coordinating with tradespeople, and ensuring everything in the home is in working order.

Candidate specification:
• Experience: Proven housekeeping experience with excellent references.
• Personality: Honest, trustworthy, reliable, energetic, with a sunny disposition. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
• Skills: Attention to detail, confident in cooking and handling/washing fine fabrics, experienced with laundry and ironing, and capable of managing the household.
• Driving: Clean driving license (car provided during work hours). Ability to drive between two homes.
• Child-Friendly: Great with children, with an understanding of their needs and a warm, caring approach.
