We are looking for a part-time nanny to join our Italian-English family (based in Kidbrooke, Greenwich) and help us taking care of our 13-month-old girl and help us manage light household duties.

Start by January 6th 2025 Latest:
We have some flexibility with the hours and days: We can accommodate either 2x 9h days (preferably Mondays and Tuesdays) or 3x 8h days (preferably Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays), as Mom would be working from home (in the spare room).

Family needs:
We are first-time parents, and our daughter has a rare genetic condition that affects her muscles. This means that she is delayed in her physical milestones (currently starting to sit up) and has weaker lungs compared to other babies (she uses an over-the-nose mask for sleep), but otherwise, she self-feeds, chats, sings, and engages as any other bright 13-month-old.

The average day would include:
- Prepping healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for LO
- Going out for 1 walk at least per day and/or going to activities, or sessions that the nanny can find in the area and suitable for LO
- Playing in different positions throughout the day – lay on her back or sit up on the floor mat or highchair and offer a variety of activities: reading, drawing, messy play, playing with instruments and singing, listening to Italian & English music/stories, etc.
- Ensure LO clothes are washed and folded away as needed
- Ensure kitchen and play area are clean and tidy at the end of the day - teach LO to tidy up by example
- Get LO to nap with the over-the-nose mask
- Change nappy, get LO dresses and bath as needed
- Basic household tasks such as laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher, and keeping common areas neat.
- Family Support: Offering general assistance to the family as needed, helping to keep the household running smoothly (e.g. grocery and cooking dinner when needed)

Parenting style:
Our approach to parenting is Montessori inspired so we are trying to create a home environment to encourage the LO to learn at her own pace, promoting self-directed activity and hands-on learning to maximise her potential (physically and mentally) and independence.
We are present, kind, patient and truthful with her and we try to make LO feel loved, respected and listened to. Her happiness and well-being are our priority, but we are also guiding her to listen to herself, build trust and express her emotions in a healthy way.
We like the nanny share similar values and be another guide for LO’s development.

The Ideal candidate:
• Italian native speaker or English native speaker
• Over 5 years of experience with young children (0-4y)
• Reliable, organised and clean
• Nurturing, kind and attentive who loves working with children
• Happy to be part of the family
• DBS checked and Paediatric First Aid
