We are based in Stansted Abbotts, Herts and are looking for a full time fun, flexible individual to care for our two children and maintain and run the house.
Both children have a strict bedtime routine and are in bed and sleep from 9pm in term time ( and slightly later in school holidays) they wake around 630/7am each day.
My eldest son is at boarding school 2 nights a week ( Thurs and Friday night) so care would only be required for 1 child on a Thurs and Fri in term time.

children are very self sufficient however They will need their dinner made for them each night. Some help with homework, bags packed for school, uniform and PE kits organised, afternoon school runs and on some evenings drop off and pick ups to and from their sports commitments after school.

Once back home from the school run, uniforms will need to be washed along with PE kits and everything organised for the following day. This does require someone who is extremely organised as they would need to be on top of the school schedules and school activities so they can prepare what is required for the following day and any school events.

The boys spend a lot of time gaming, playing football and hanging out with each other so it’s more general supervision rather than having to do activities with them. We are also looking for someone who would enjoy playing the odd 20 mins of football with them here and there, cooking and baking or playing the odd board game with them!

We tend to travel most school holidays so this would be free time for the successful candidate. However we may have 1 or 2 half terms at home and times required would be very similar to those of non term time.

Cleaning and maintaining a clean and tidy house would also be required within the role . We have a cleaner who comes twice a week ( she does deep cleans and changes bedding etc) but all other days we would require the house to be kept clean and tidy, including the boys bedrooms, kitchen, playroom, all bathrooms etc. Ideally the candidate would also enjoy cooking and be willing to also do some meal prep and evening meals although this isn’t a necessity.
Salaried at 40 hrs per week annually with 20 days paid annual leave. ( however it’s actually more like 13/14 weeks leave due to the amount we travel.)

Realistically nanny will work 35 hrs in school term time but could be around 45 hrs per week in any school holidays we are at home. ( this is normally only two of the half term holidays) it often works out that candidate will work far less than 40 hrs per week when averaged out over the year and we would never ask you make any time up.

We realise to have calibre of nanny we need to pay 40 hrs per week so you don’t need to work elsewhere. Our current nanny gains around 4/5 days a month paid days off. Plus all the days we have when travelling on holiday - this is an additional 13/14 weeks off during the year and popular holiday times; Easter, summer holidays and Christmas.

All expenses inc petrol, lunches and dinners if working are included. Nanny/ housekeeper must have own car and clean driving license.

Typical weeks work in term time. ( we can be flexible with hours and start times and nothing is set in stone.)
Mon: 12pm - 7pm
Tues: 11am - 8pm
Wed: 2pm - 8pm.
Thurs: 10am - 7pm.
Fri: 10am - 7pm.
Sat: 2pm - 6pm * PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY REQUIRE YOU TO WORK EVERY OTHER SATURDAY.
