GBN 450 – Live-out rota governess, 3 children aged 7, 6 and 3 years, Nicosia, Cyprus, 1 month on/off, £1200 per week, Trial/start date February 2025

A lovely family residing in Nicosia, Cyprus is seeking an educated and experienced rota governess for the care and educational assistance of their three children, The family has two boys aged 7 and 6 along with a daughter aged 3. The ideal candidate will be a kind, caring and organised individual who is a team player and has worked in a fully staffed household, able to work alone with all children confidently and as well as shared care with the parents. Both parents work full time, the mother works from home frequently.
All children go to kindergarten/school during the day up to 12 pm from M-F. Whilst this is a rota role and you may at times be needed around the clock, for example if any proxy parenting is required or during travel period, your hours generally won’t exceed 10-12 hours daily. The family is happy to offer a couple of days off during your rota period during the school week. You will be working alongside another nanny who has been working with the family for the past two years. The family are welcoming and do like to work with their staff on a long-term basis. Good communication and a fun and active candidate who is good at storytelling and engaging with the children, exposing them to new knowledge and cultures. The children all have a good command of English and go to the international school as well as online English classes, they also play chess, football and tennis. They would prefer a candidate fluent in English who can continue the children’s language development and assist with homework. Their MT is Russian.
You will be provided with an apartment in the same building the family live in which you will change over with their other nanny. Flights will be provided to and from your shift from your place of residence. The family can sponsor a working Visa. However, candidates with EU passports and the right to work in Cyprus will be favoured. The family is ready to start trialling candidates as of February. The salary on offer is from £1200 per week (all weeks of the year paid).
Requirements:
Fluent English-speaker
Minimum 3 years’ experience with similar age groups
Childcare qualifications/degree preferred
Experience in fully staffed households
