Part Time Nanny
*This family based in N1 are looking for part-time care for their daughter to help mum manage work commitments. Their daughter (currently 10 months old) is a happy, healthy and adjusted child who would benefit from a caring approach. The role is sole charge, though mum does work from home also and so someone who is happy to work with her as well would be preferred.*

Mon & Wed (8am - 6pm) * can be flexible on this to a point, additional babysitting available
The Role
- Provide attentive care and supervision for the 10 month-old girl throughout the day
- Prepare and feed age-appropriate meals and snacks, following the family's dietary guidelines
- Change nappies and assist with potty training when the time comes
- Create and maintain a consistent nap schedule
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate cognitive, physical, and emotional development
- Read books, sing songs, and play interactive games to encourage language development
- Attend and participate in baby classes such as music, swimming, or sensory play sessions
- Organise and supervise playdates with other children, if desired by the family
- Ensure the child's safety at all times, both at home and during outings
- Keep the child's areas clean, tidy, and organised
- Wash, fold, and put away the child's laundry
- Sterilise bottles and maintain cleanliness of feeding equipment
- Track and record daily activities, feedings, and naps for the parents
- Communicate effectively with parents about the child's development, behaviour, and any concerns
- Assist with light housekeeping related to childcare
- Support the child's emotional needs, providing comfort and reassurance
- Encourage physical development through tummy time, crawling, and early walking attempts
- Introduce new textures and experiences to support sensory development
- Stay up-to-date with child development milestones and best practices in childcare
The Person
- Extensive experience caring for infants and young children, particularly those under 12 months
- Formal childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
- Current Paediatric First Aid certification
- Knowledge of infant development stages and milestones
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing personality
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both the child and parents
- Ability to create a stimulating and safe environment for the child
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of a growing infant
- Strong organisational skills to manage feeding schedules, naps, and activities
- Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of caring for an active baby
- Enthusiasm for engaging in developmental activities and play
- Calm demeanour and ability to handle stressful situations
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Clean DBS and Right to Work in the UK
- References from previous childcare positions
