Temp Live-out Nanny - LA, USA

Overview
Our client, a lovely family of three, is looking for a professional and adaptable Temporary Live-out Nanny to provide shared care for a 1-year-old girl based in Los Angeles, 90069. The family have recently relocated from the UK for work commitments and will be based in LA from mid-March until mid-June.

The ideal Nanny will live within a reasonable commute, be cheerful and flexible, and have a positive approach to shared care. Applicants must be happy to follow the mother’s lead with childcare routines and adapt to the family’s needs, which may vary due to work schedules.

Please note, the role does not include any Housekeeping duties.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Live-out Nanny in Los Angeles, include:
Provide attentive and nurturing care to a 1-year-old girl
Support developmental milestones with engaging activities, such as reading, playtime, and outdoor exploration
Assist with establishing and maintaining daily routines, including naps, feeding, and play schedules
Occasionally plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for the child
Accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions as directed by the parents
Work closely with the mother, respecting and following her lead on childcare routines and preferences
Adjust to varying daily schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekend coverage
Accompany the child to local activities, parks, or playdates as needed
Ensure the child’s safety and well-being during all outing
Provide up to 3 overnight stays per week, ensuring the child’s comfort and attending to any nighttime needs
Accommodate last-minute schedule changes due to the parents’ work commitments
Maintain a cheerful and adaptable demeanour to create a positive environment for the child and family

Candidates must be/have:
Strong experience as a Nanny working with similar aged children in a HNW setting
Must live within a commutable distance to Los Angeles, 90069
Flexibility to accommodate early starts, late finishes, and changing schedules
Comfortable working in a shared care environment and following the mother’s lead
Cheerful and adaptable personality

Hours
30 hours per week, including occasional weekend cover and up to 3 overnight stays per week. Weekday hours can vary between early starts, 07:00 and late finishes, 23:00.
