Part Time Nanny
A warm and welcoming family in Brook Green is seeking an energetic and experienced nanny to care for their curious and sociable 3.5-year-old daughter. Combining afternoon care during term time and additional hours in school holidays, this pro-rata role offers an average of 30 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a kind and proactive approach, experience with this age group, and familiarity with the area.
HOURS: Average 30 hours per week with some flexibility, see below for details:
Term Time (approx 24 hours a week):
- Mon/Tue/Thurs: 15:00-18:00
- Weds & Fri: 12:30 - 18:00
- Flexibility for one night per week babysitting & occasional help in the morning (to be agreed in advance)
School holidays (approx 36 hours a week):
- Additional hours required with the schedule to be agreed in advance.
ABOUT THE FAMILY
A friendly and welcoming family of 3 in Brook Green are looking for a pro-rata nanny to care for their curious, confident and social G3.5. She has a strong community of friends nearby and the family are looking for someone who is familiar with the area and as such, can maintain her social connections and even grow her friendship circle. You will be confident and experienced with this age group so you can engage her with age appropriate activities and stimulating conversation. She loves role play, dressing up, baking and arts and crafts (especially if they involve glitter) and is equally excited about popping her wellies on for outdoor adventures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare: You will be comfortable with sole charge care, being punctual and organised in all aspects of managing the afternoon.
Meal Preparation: G3.5 is a great eater and loves food. You will be nutrition conscious and experienced cooking meals with fresh ingredients from scratch. Batch cooking is appreciated.
Arranging activities: You will be proactive organising playdates in the local area, finding fun and age appropriate playgroups and classes and find exciting adventures to go on in school holidays. The family have a car that can be used for days out further afield if the nanny is a confident driver (not required).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a nanny who is:
Confident and social: You will be comfortable connecting with others in order to facilitate playdates, meet-ups etc.
Familiar with the area: Maintaining and building the little girl’s community is important for the family, so you will be local to W14 or have previously worked in the area with a good knowledge of the classes and activities on offer.
Experienced: Ideally you have 2+ years of experience with children in this age group.
A good communicator: The family value a mutual trust approach and want to build a collaborative relationship with their nanny. Speaking a second language is a definite bonus, but not required.
A non-smoker
PERKS & BENEFITS
Salary: £19 g.p.h.
Holiday Allowance: 25 days paid holiday per year
Additional Flexibility: Weekly babysitting (in line with weekly hours) and occasional morning support to be agreed in advance.
Travel: The family go on wonderful, group holidays and would like a nanny who is open to accompanying them (not a dealbreaker)
Live-Out Position: This role is live-out
