*This family got in touch with Arthur’s House as they are looking to secure a great nanny for their busy family of five. The role will be to support the family in a multifaceted role which will depend on the time of year, the weekly / monthly schedules and the general changing demands and busy household has throughout the year.*

*The role would suit someone who is ‘easy going’ and happy to work around, with and without the parents as needed! This family love to have fun and really are looking for someone who will become a part of the family and stay for the longer term. There will be no end of support this family require so someone who is genuinely happy to pick things up, use their initiative and ‘get involved’ would be well suited. They are looking for someone who will have fun with the children.*

The Role

- Supporting school pick-ups for the 5 and 7-year-old girls and nursery pickups for the youngest
- Supervising and engaging in after-school activities such as organising and leading age-appropriate arts and crafts projects
- Planning and executing creative play sessions for all three children
- Assisting with homework for the older girls if needed
- Preparing healthy snacks and meals
- Bathing and dressing the children as needed
- Reading bedtime stories and implementing bedtime routines
- Organising playdates and outings
- Keeping the children's areas tidy and organised
- Restocking essential childcare supplies if needed
- Scheduling and accompanying children to doctor appointments
- Helping plan and organise birthday parties and other special events
- Maintaining a calendar of the children's activities and appointments
- Communicating with parents about the children's daily activities and development
- Encouraging educational activities and supporting learning goals
- Implementing positive discipline strategies as agreed upon with parents
- Fostering social skills and emotional development
- Administering medication when necessary (with parental guidance)
- Helping children develop good hygiene habits
- Planning and preparing for family trips and / holidays
- Encouraging physical activities and outdoor play
- Maintaining a safe environment for the children at all times
- Helping support holiday activities (camps, clubs, events, play at home etc)

The Person

- Adaptable and flexible to changing family schedules and needs
- Patient and calm, especially during busy or stressful times
- Energetic and enthusiastic about engaging with children of different ages
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Creative problem-solver who can think on their feet
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a fun and nurturing environment
- Proactive and takes initiative in household management
- Emotionally intelligent and able to support children's emotional needs
- Reliable and punctual, understanding the importance of consistency in a busy household
- Good sense of humour and ability to keep things light-hearted
- Knowledgeable about child development and age-appropriate activities
- Physically fit to keep up with active children and daily tasks
- First Aid certified for children's safety
- Up to date (e)DBS, Right to Work in the UK and references from previous roles
