Role Overview:
Lovely family based in South Kensington, London are seeking an experienced, engaging, and adaptable nanny for a private household . The role involves caring for two girls (aged 9 and 10), with a strong focus on pastoral care and fostering a positive, inspiring environment. The family has a semi-formal household with multiple staff members, including housekeepers, a household manager, a driver, PAs, and an educational coordinator. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within this setting while forming a close bond with the children.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Routine & Pastoral Care:
School pick-up (car provided)
Assist with after-school activities, playtime, and cultural outings
Oversee dinner, bedtime routine, and reading before bed
Ensure bedrooms and belongings are well-organised

Academic Support:
The 10-year-old is preparing for the 11+ exams – while tutors are in place, additional guidance would be a plus
Encourage an academic mindset and good study habits

Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel during school holidays.
Own room provided during travel

General Duties:
Plan and organise activities (sports, music, culture, and recreation)
Engage in a fun and interactive manner, acting as a positive role model
Support language development – fluency in English is essential
Collaborate with the household staff and mother, who is hands-on but busy

Ideal Candidate:
Experience & Background:
Demonstrable experience working with older children (aged 9-12)
Background in a similar high-profile, fully staffed household preferred
Academic background or ability to provide light educational support is a plus

Personality & Skills:
Warm, engaging, and able to form a strong bond with the children (like a big sister)
Active, energetic, and able to organise recreational and cultural activities
Flexible and adaptable to the family's preferences and routine
Musical talent and sports ability would be a significant advantage

Other Requirements:
Fluent in English (additional languages are a bonus)
Confident and capable in a semi-formal household environment
Comfortable with international travel and holiday schedules
