Professional Full Time Nanny – Barnes (Maternity Cover, Potential for Permanent Role)

Contract: Maternity Cover (Fixed-term until January 2026, with potential to become permanent)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM (occasional evening flexibility required, arranged in advance)
Salary: £65,000 gross per annum

An experienced and highly organised Professional Nanny is sought to care for two children, aged 4 and 7 years, in a sole-charge role. This is a maternity cover position, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The family is looking for a nanny who is not only nurturing and proactive but also confident in providing educational support, particularly with homework and early learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Morning routine: Preparing the children for school, organising uniforms, and packing school bags.

School runs: Driving the children to two separate schools in an electric nanny car (provided).

After-school care: Collecting the children, escorting them to extracurricular activities, and supervising homework in a structured and supportive way.

Educational engagement: Encouraging a love of learning, supporting early literacy, numeracy, and school projects. A nanny with teaching experience, tutoring experience, or a background in working within a school setting would be highly desirable.

Meal preparation: Cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the children.

Household organisation: Light PA duties for the family, including managing school admin and keeping on top of children's schedules.

Evening routine: Overseeing bath and bedtime when required.

Flexibility: Occasional evening babysitting (arranged in advance).

Candidate Requirements:

Extensive experience working with children aged 4–6 years.

A strong educational background or experience supporting children’s learning, such as former teaching assistant, tutor, or experience in a school environment.

Highly organised with excellent time management skills.

Confident London driver – essential for school runs and activities.

Ability to balance structured routines with fun and engaging activities.

Strong understanding of child nutrition and ability to prepare balanced meals.

A professional and discreet approach, given both parents have demanding careers.
