Part Time Nanny
Part-Time Nanny/Governess (Education focused)

We are seeking a warm, engaging, and highly organised nanny/governess to provide a blend of educational guidance and traditional nanny support for our little 2 year old daughter. The ideal candidate is both nurturing and intellectually curious - someone who can create a positive learning environment whilst also managing day-to-day household and childcare responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

Educational / Governess Duties:
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate learning activities (literacy, numeracy, art, science exploration, practical life skills etc)
- Support academic milestones (e.g. preparation for 4+ assessments)
- Foster curiosity, independence and confidence through purposeful play and conversation
- Organise educations outings
- Maintain a daily/weekly learning plan tailored to the child's developmental stage.

Childcare Duties:
- Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally supportive care
- Manage daily routines (mealtimes & playtimes) (note nap time/bedtime will be managed by family)
- Organise playdates / extracurricular activities
- Ensure safe, clean and positive environment at all times.

Household & Family Support:
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for our daughter (she is pescatarian), with occasional family meal prep
- Housekeeping related to the child (laundry, tidying and maintaining play areas, washing dishes)
- General household assistance, such as light cleaning, organising and errands
- Collaborate with us on scheduling, routines, and developmental goals.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a nanny / governess / early childhood educator / teacher etc
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy
- Ability to create structured and engaging educational activities
- Excellent communicator, and a calm, positive demeanor.
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Non-smoker

Desired Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field
- Experience with Montessori, Reggio Emelia, or similar education philosophies.
