Weekend Nanny/Housekeeper for HNW family in London
Location: Paddington, London
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum, negotiable DOE
Status: Live-in (over weekends only)
A lovely family of five based in Central London are currently looking to appoint a part-time permanent Nanny/Housekeeper to cover weekends for them on a live-in basis. Our clients are looking for an approachable and friendly candidate with a ‘can-do’ attitude who is happy to muck in where required to ensure the smooth running of the family’s home over weekends. Working from late Friday afternoon to late Sunday afternoon, you will have proven experience looking after toddlers and also have experience with school-aged children.
The primary responsibility will be assisting with the family’s youngest child, a 2-year-old who typically wakes around 5:30am, so you will get him up, offer breakfast, play with him, and ensure he is cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. Alongside childcare, the role involves general household support such as emptying the dishwasher, tidying communal areas, preparing family meals, running errands, buying groceries, turning over the laundry and just lending a helping hand where required. The candidate will also babysit the older children, should the parents go out on Friday or Saturday evening.
Flexibility is essential, as the family often spend weekends in their Cotswolds home and would need the Nanny/Housekeeper to accompany them when required; because the Cotswolds property is rural, a driver is preferred (travel costs to the Cotswolds will be reimbursed). The family is really lovely and welcoming and values someone friendly, easy to be around, and comfortable in a relaxed home setting.
This is a live-in role during the 48 hours worked each week, with accommodation provided in a guest bedroom. Working from 5pm on Friday afternoon to 5pm on Sunday afternoon, every weekend might be different, so an adaptable, easy-going candidate who is not rigid in their schedule is required – there will be opportunity to take breaks throughout the day. The role requires someone pet-friendly and ideally available to start as soon as possible.
