A warm welcoming family in Maldon, Essex are seeking a nurturing, reliable and proactive Nanny/Housekeeper to join their family long-term.

This is a varied and evolving role combining home education support, childcare, and household management.


The family are passionate about learning through play and are looking for someone who will become a genuine extension of the family and grow alongside the children.

The Children & Education
Both children are home educated. The nanny will be responsible for supporting their education on Mondays and Thursdays, following a monthly framework set out by the parents.



The nanny will be expected to confidently execute this framework while also being open to adapting activities, testing new ideas and incorporating learning through play.

-Strong emphasis on learning through play and activities
-Openness to creativity, curiosity and flexibility is essential
Fortnightly on Thursdays, the children attend a Christian group.
On Mondays the children attend Squirrels and Beavers, therefore they must have a hot meal in the middle of the day, as Mum takes them to the evening session.
Clubs & Activities
-Mondays include clubs such as an outdoor PE club designed for home educated children.
-The nanny will be responsible for pick-ups and drop-offs on Wednesdays only, all other clubs the nanny will be in attendance alongside the children.
Housekeeping Duties
This role is predominantly housekeeping on a Wednesday. When the children attend Forest School (a 40-minute drive from the family home)
The nanny will be responsible for leaving the family home to collect them at 2pm.
From 9am - 2pm will be housekeeping:
-All general housekeeping
-Laundry and ironing
-Home administration such as food shopping, drycleaning collection/drop-off, and light household errands
Additional Responsibilities
-The family has two dogs(not a nanny responsibility), however the candidate must be comfortable letting them outside for toilet breaks and having them around, particularly on Wednesdays

- Occasional week night baby sitting for Mum and Dad’s date nights(with plenty of notice)
-Mum travels every few months, so additional hours may be available during these periods
-Dad is due to have surgery in the coming months; the family wish to be transparent that household dynamics may shift slightly during the early months
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
-Ofsted Registered, or willing to become Ofsted Registered.
-A non-smoker and non-vaper
-Holder of a clean UK driving licence
-Confident driving children
-Happy to use a family car when available and willing to use their own car for work purposes when Mum is travelling
-Comfortable supporting Christian values within the household
-Passionate about home education and child development
-Flexible, adaptable and excited to grow with the role as the children develop
-Happy to become an integral part of the family’s home education journey

Additional Benefits & Family Values
The family are very supportive of childcare professionals and understand there realities of parenting. On occasion (for example on inset days), they are happy for the nanny to bring their own child along if needed. Above all, they want their nanny to feel included, supported and valued as part of the family.
