Nanny
About the family and children
The little boy is an exceptionally inquisitive and energetic boy; he shows a keen interest in books, anything that has buttons or switches, desires to participate in kitchen activities, enjoys being chased and delights in jumping in puddles. He has a delightful cackle when playing peek-a-boo or being tickled when he is in a playful mood. He is beginning to express his preferences and he will inform the parents when something is not done to his liking. They are establishing clear boundaries whenever feasible and employing distraction techniques at this stage.

The family are looking for a nanny who is Interested in child development who is kind, warm and with good humour and fresh energy. Flexibility is great (e.g. interest in additional babysitting hours/ splitting one/ two agreed workdays so that mum can look to have hobbies in evening and make local friends), but they do have local grandparents who are around who want to help too.
Experience with allergies/ eczema is great, but the right person would more be eager to learn and follow instructions. The right candidate would be happy with cooking and at least able to follow a recipe. Patience and consistency require to manage development of some fussy eating (mum trained in paediatric feeding, so trying to implement strategies to promote positive food experience)
The family are working to keep to boundaries for non-negotiable requirements (e.g. need to wear coat when cold outside), but being flexible with battles that are inconvenient but not actually challenging e.g. playing with empty mop bucket, climbing up and down stairs himself).
The nanny will be responsible for the typical nursery duties.
Support with getting him ready for beginning end of day, eczema care, dressing, support with bath time (currently afraid, new presentation and needs to go in with mum). Support with cooking meals for him and wider family (they have a Thermermamix, kitchen aid, instant pot, lacaunche range), with avoided foods in mind, keeping in introduced allergens every week to ensure sustained tolerance, support with hospital food challenges and prep for these and oral immunotherapy preparation and ensure he eats these, while also making mealtimes nutritious, varied, low pressure and fun.
Organising and taking him to local play groups and play dates while mum working/organising house jobs. Cleaning and tidying playroom, bedroom, kitchen area when used, cleaning toys, laundry. Potential dust allergy, supporting with toy rotation and creating fun learning activities e.g. sensory play, phonics (early, but he is showing some interest in letters and sounds). Working with mum who enjoys taking care of him but also feels more regulated when she has a break (particularly to sleep in the morning after busy overnight stint).
There will be some travel, not frequent, the family have a second home in Cornwall Fowey, currently being renovated. Support travelling to the northeast to see maternal grandmother and perhaps future summer holidays, likely in the UK and ski holidays (family have chalet in Switzerland, Nendaz).
Benefits
The accommodation comprises - private bedroom with own En-suite (shower, is a steam shower but currently unsure how to use that function) in bottom floor of home, has window, double bed, all other family sleep on top floor (of 3), does have its own entrance if preferred to use (but happy to use the family entrance too).
