Job Summary
A lovely family based in Bristol, is seeking a full-time, live-in Housekeeper/Cook to join their home on a permanent basis.

The household comprises two adults and two school-aged children, alongside a Labrador and two cats, so a pet-friendly candidate is essential. The family lives in a large seven-bedroom property over two floors, with extensive gardens managed by gardeners.

This role requires full responsibility for housekeeping and daily cooking mostly for dinners only. The family enjoys fresh, healthy meals and makes use of produce from their vegetable garden, so confidence in the kitchen and the ability to follow recipes is key.

The successful candidate will work alongside an existing live-out housekeeper, therefore previous experience working as part of a team is essential.

This is a long-term role for someone seeking stability and a valued position within a private household.

Job Specification

• Full housekeeping of a 7-bedroom home
• Laundry and ironing for the whole family
• Daily cooking (healthy, fresh dinners; confident home cook required)
• Following recipes and preparing nutritious family meals
• Managing pantry and ensuring kitchen is fully stocked
• Grocery shopping and household provisioning
• Liaising with gardener and utilising fresh produce
• Pet care for Labrador and cats
• Occasional childcare and babysitting
• Occasional overnight proxy parenting
• Working collaboratively with the existing housekeeper

Candidate Specification

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper/Cook within a private household
• Confident preparing fresh, healthy family meals
• Pet-friendly
• Team player with experience working alongside other household staff
• Loyal, proactive, and happy to help
• Driver preferred (not essential)
• Spanish would be a bonus
• Excellent checkable references

Basic DBS required at offer stage
