We are seeking an experienced and qualified British rota nanny to join a formal household based in the Cayman Islands, commencing in June 2026. The position offers an attractive rota schedule of either two or three weeks on duty, followed by equivalent time off. (However please note this is a role for someone who is fully flexible and happy to be on call) Initially, you will provide full and attentive care for a 2-month-old baby. As of November, this will include the baby’s older sibling, who will be 18 months old. The role is live-in while on duty and you will be provided with a separate apartment when off duty.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality care and nurture to a newborn and, from November, this will include an 18-month-old sibling.
• Implement age-appropriate routines, activities, and developmental milestones for both children.
• Work on a rota basis: 2 or 3 weeks on duty (live-in), followed by 2 or 3 weeks off (separate accommodation).
• Coordinate and collaborate with other household staff in a formal setting, always maintaining discretion and professionalism.
• Reporting to a Head Nanny.
• Travel internationally with the family as required, ensuring continuity of care during trips.
• Maintain detailed records of the children’s routines, progress, and health.
• Support the family’s values and expectations, adapting to their preferences and requirements.
Candidate Requirements
• British nationality with recognised childcare qualifications (e.g., NNEB, CACHE, Norland, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers, ideally within formal households.
• Professional, discreet, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to child development and well-being.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of household staff.
• Willing to relocate to the Cayman Islands and travel internationally as part of the role.
Accommodation and Benefits
• Live-in accommodation provided within the family home during duty periods. Initially you will share a room with the baby. In November you will have your own room and have the monitor at hand.
• Separate accommodation arranged for off-duty weeks.
• Competitive gross annual salary: $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience.
• Formal Cayman Island employment contract, including statutory benefits and holiday entitlement. Visa will be provided
• International travel opportunities accompanying the family.
