Nanny (Special needs)
SEN Nanny/Manny, Tunbridge Wells TN2. Part-time role supporting a bright 3.5-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). £20.00 gross per hour | 15 hours per week.

• Essential: Enhanced DBS; SEN-trained with experience supporting autistic preschoolers with emotional regulation; skilled in positive behaviour plans, sensory strategies and de-escalation; fluent English; confident around large dogs and cats; happy spending time outdoors (forest school, messy play)
• Start Date: May 2026
• Days & Hours: 15 hours per week over two or three days (e.g., one full day 7:30am–6:00pm plus a half day 8:00am–12:30pm or 2:00pm–6:30pm)

About the Client/Child: Ethan (3.5) is bright, curious and loves nature, animals and outdoor exploration. He enjoys messy and water play, forest activities, and focusing on favourite books (currently The Gruffalo’s Child). His interests can become strongly focused, including snow, the Grinch, the North Pole, microbes and snakes. Ethan is trilingual, speaking English, Russian and Ukrainian.
Ethan has ASC and needs 1:1 support for safe play, social interaction and emotional regulation. He can experience sensory or emotional overwhelm and finds transitions challenging. He also has asthma and occasionally uses an inhaler. The role focuses on structured, creative activities that support development and wellbeing.
The Role at a Glance: Provide tailored 1:1 support using a child-led, structured approach to encourage emotional regulation, communication and life skills. Activities include outdoor play, forest school, soft play, playground visits and development-focused learning experiences.
This Job Would Suit: A confident, proactive SEN Nanny/Manny with strong knowledge of early childhood development and autism in preschoolers. Someone patient, warm but consistent with boundaries, able to motivate Ethan and support positive choices. Experience may be professional or personal. Must be comfortable with pets.
