A family in Amsterdam Oud Zuid (near Vondelpark and Museumplein) seeks someone to help manage their large home and support the nanny/PA. This role suits a junior nanny looking to gain experience or an experienced nanny/housekeeper. You should be organized, take initiative, and enjoy both childcare and housekeeping.

Role & Schedule:
Tuesday–Saturday, 12–7 pm (35 hrs) or 11–7 pm (40 hrs); starting 10 am on Wednesday is appreciated.

Some occasional flexibility may be required.

Commitment: 12–18 months.

You must have an EU passport or Dutch residence permit.

Responsibilities:
Housekeeping (approx. 70% of role): beds, laundry, ironing, tidying, trash, seasonal decorations, cupboards, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, checking supplies, watering plants, basic maintenance, opening curtains/windows.

Meal prep: simple, healthy meals for the family and nanny; support children’s low-sugar diet.

Support childcare (approx. 30%): assist nanny/PA, help with children as needed.

Work closely as part of a team with the nanny/PA, parents, and weekly cleaners.

Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles; childcare experience with children of similar ages preferred. Experience with babies is a plus.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication, receptive to feedback, organized, routine-oriented.
Capable of cycling a bakfiets or willing to learn.
Problem-solving skills, proactive, friendly, and adaptable.

Additional Details:
English speaking; Dutch is a plus.
Love for animals is a bonus.
Mum will be on maternity leave for four months and at home on Mondays and Fridays; Dad will be around.
Occasional travel once a year appreciated but not required.
No screens policy in the household.
Local candidates preferred; relocation can be discussed.

Agency Requirements:
3 years full-time professional childcare experience
Valid pediatric first aid
Recent police check or DBS (with update system)
Written references + 3 verbal references
