Part-Time Nanny, Parsons Green

Arthur’s House is recruiting on behalf of a warm, supportive family for an experienced, proactive Part-Time Nanny to care for two children (ages 6 and 3). This is a hands-on role suited to a nanny who is energetic, organised, and confident supporting both learning and family routines.

Location: Parsons Green, SW6

Hours:
- Monday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Additional hours: The family are able to offer more hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays if the nanny requires them

Key Details:
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Open (6 months minimum)
- Salary: £22–£25 gross per hour (dependent on experience)

Children and household notes:
- Two boys, 3 and 6 years old
- School day typically runs until 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM
- One cat in the home
- No known allergies
- Driver not required

Key responsibilities:
- Support mum with school and nursery pick-ups
- Provide after-school care and ensure children’s safety at all times
- Support the 6-year-old with homework and school-related learning
- Support the 3-year-old with early years learning (phonics, numbers, early learning skills)
- Plan and lead creative, educational activities (arts and crafts, baking, structured play)
- Arrange, organise, and supervise playdates
- Take the children to after-school activities
- Prepare and serve dinner for the children
- Support evening and bedtime routines
- Tidy play areas, manage toys, and clean up after meals
- Provide calm, sensible care in the event of minor illness or injury
- Work closely with the parents to support the children’s development and social confidence

Candidate requirements:
- Proven nanny experience (essential)
- Strong understanding of child development across early years and primary age
- Confident creating structured, engaging routines and educational play
- Warm, patient, positive, and genuinely nurturing
- Excellent organisation and ability to multitask in a busy after-school window
- Valid Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to renew prior to start)
- Availability for occasional evenings by prior arrangement
