Mandarin-speaking Nanny (Live-out) | Islington, London

A warm and welcoming Islington family is seeking an experienced, proactive Mandarin-speaking nanny for a full-time, live-out role. The position focuses primarily on caring for their 11-month-old boy, with before and after school support for their 5-year-old girl.

Start: Early May (flexible by 1 to 2 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm
Pay: £55k - 70k PA (DOE)

About the family:
- Two children: 11-month-old boy (main focus) and 5-year-old girl (in school during the day)
- Small female dog in the home

The role:
You will provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the baby, maintain routines, and plan engaging days filled with activities, outings, and social opportunities. You will also support the older child after school, including language-focused play and the dinner-time routine. The role includes shared-charge at times, as parent(s) may be around on some days.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide loving, developmentally appropriate care and maintain consistent routines for the baby
- Plan age-appropriate activities, outings, and playdates
- Teach and reinforce Mandarin through daily conversation, books, songs, and play (for both children, age-appropriate)
- Create simple, fun Mandarin-learning activities for the older child after school
- Support emotional wellbeing with calm boundaries and gentle guidance
- Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children (no allergies)
- Child-related housekeeping, tidying, and keeping play areas organised
- Occasional travel (welcome but not essential)

Requirements:
- Fluent Mandarin and fluent English
- Proven nanny experience with babies and young children
- Confident in sole charge and shared-charge settings
- Warm, sociable, and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable with a small dog
