A warm and welcoming family are looking for a kind, reliable nanny to support their two lovely daughters aged four and two and a half. The role is based around after-school care and offers a wonderful opportunity to become part of a friendly and relaxed household where the children enjoy spending time together at the end of their day.

The eldest daughter will be starting school in September, and the role will involve collecting her from school around 4pm. Then collecting the youngest from nursery before bringing them home together. The afternoons will focus on creating a calm and happy routine, including playtime, preparing and serving the girls’ evening meal, and helping them wind down before their parents return home from work around 6pm. The girls are close in age and enjoy being together, so the family would love to find someone who enjoys imaginative play, conversation and helping children relax after a busy day.

The working hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 7pm. During the earlier part of the afternoon there will be time to take care of child-related duties such as preparing meals for the girls, keeping their spaces tidy and organised, and helping with their laundry if needed. There may also be the possibility of adding some wraparound care in the mornings in the future for the right person.

The family also have a small, very friendly dog. Regular dog walking is not expected, but the nanny should be comfortable with dogs and happy to occasionally let him out into the garden.

This would suit someone warm, organised and caring who enjoys building a genuine relationship with children and becoming a trusted part of family life.
