Nanny Housekeeper – Stock, Essex

Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency are delighted to be assisting a warm and welcoming family based in the beautiful village of Stock, Essex, as they begin the search for the right person to join their home as a Nanny Housekeeper.

Finding someone who becomes a trusted and valued part of family life is incredibly important to them, and they are looking forward to welcoming a kind, reliable and experienced professional who will take genuine pleasure in caring for their happy 4.5-year-old son, while also helping to keep the household running smoothly.

This is a lovely opportunity for a professional nanny housekeeper with experience in private homes, who enjoys balancing childcare with maintaining a calm, organised and well-run household.

The position is live-out, working Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 37 hours per week during term time, and the opportunity for additional hours during school holidays when full-day childcare may be required.

Salary

£19 to £20 gross per hour depending on experience

Minimum guaranteed hours: 37 per week

Working Hours

Minimum 37 hours per week (term time)

Monday to Friday

Core hours: 12:30pm to 7:30pm

Additional hours may be available, including:

• Two mornings per week 7:30am to 9:30am, if the candidate is happy to support the morning routine
• Additional hours during school holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

Childcare

• Supporting the morning routine when required
• Nursery or school drop-off and pick-up
• Providing attentive after-school care
• Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Organising outings and play opportunities
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks
• Encouraging independence and positive behaviour

Household Support

• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming home
• Family laundry and ironing
• Keeping family areas tidy and well presented
• Managing household supplies
• Running errands when required
• Light PA duties such as organising appointments and general household administration

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, candidates must meet the Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency placement criteria, including:

• A minimum of 3 years professional nanny or nanny housekeeper experience within private family homes
• Proven experience working in a combined childcare and housekeeping role
• A full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
• A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Excellent checkable references from previous private household roles
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach with a calm and nurturing manner
