A family new to Harpenden is seeking a full time nanny for two children, aged 9 months and 3.5
They need Monday to Friday, 43.5 hours term time and 50 hours in hols:
Term time, 3 days will be 12-6.30 (with light house help 12-3,then collecting kids) and the other 2 days are 8.30-6.30, with the baby all day (she is in nursery 3 days, and the eldest will be in school from Sept)
In school holidays, its Mon-Fri 8.30-6.30 - baby will still do nursery so there's some 1:1 with the eldest, and 2 days with both kids!
This is an average of 45 hours per week across the year
The parents are super flexible and are happy to discuss the hours, this is a baseline and they're happy to commit to these hours but also open to suggestions of other formats to suit you better - both parents work full time
They will also need regular babysitting - they can move the weekly hours back if wanted (ie work 3-9.30 instead of 12-6.30 that day) or can be overtime
They offer £37.5k-£42k (£16-£18ph) depending on your experience
This is a long term position to start ASAP - mum returns to work in May but they're happy to have the support sooner if wanted, or can wait a little as she has annual leave to use also
Parents (who are really laid back) work from home half the week, so there's usually one home daily. They are involved parents and will want to see the kids if work allows, but also wont micromanage you!
Ofsted not needed
A driver is much preferred but not essential, and definitely not needed daily - just for flex to get out further. They can provide an automatic duty car
No pets but they may get a dog in the future - just a heads up!
Day to day house help, time provided - keep kitchen clean, cooking for kids, childrens laundry, run hoover round downstairs, any errands - nothing too heavy
They'd love for you to get the kids out and about, and are happy for you to suggest activities as they're new to Harpenden
The ideal nanny will be a positive person, happy to be part of the fmaily and bring joy! The kids love imaginative play crafts, and the eldest is really chatty so need someone who will nurture that and focus on positive reinforcement
Babysitting will be needed
This role will not suit a NWOC
