Job Summary: An active family in Hersham, Surrey, is seeking a proactive and engaging Nanny to care for their five children, alongside their live-in Nanny Housekeeper. The primary focus during term time will be the 1.5-year-old, with support across all children as needed.
The successful candidate will combine energy, patience, and organisation to become both a mentor and a friend to the children, supporting their development, manners, and well-being, while maintaining structure and routines in a busy household.
Job specification:
• Provide full childcare, including meal preparation, snacks, lunches, and homework support
• Plan and lead age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities: arts & crafts, baking, sports, day trips, and outings
• Manage school drop-offs, pick-ups, and occasional school-run support
• Maintain structure and routines: nap times, daily schedules, teaching manners, and supporting developmental milestones
• Child-related housekeeping: tidy play areas, bedrooms, and clean-up after activities
• Bath and bedtime routines
• Occasional babysitting and travel with the family (1–2 weeks per year)
• Support and collaborate closely with the live-in nanny housekeeper, who takes the lead on housekeeping and meal preparation, and also assists with childcare when the children are at home
• Assist with grocery orders as required
Candidate specification:
• Experience in private households with multiple children (3+)
• Energetic, active, and confident; able to engage children of all ages in play and outdoor activities
• Calm, patient, warm, and approachable; able to build trust while maintaining firm boundaries
• Organised and structured; able to maintain routines and schedules
• Confident driver; experience with larger vehicles/minivans
• Positive, proactive, and self-motivated; anticipates needs and takes initiative
• Knowledgeable in child development; supportive of educational and social milestones
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
