Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency are delighted to be supporting a warm, welcoming and professional family based in Westcliff-on-Sea who are seeking a kind, engaging and proactive part-time nanny to join their household on a permanent, live-out basis.
The parents are both busy professionals who bring a calm, down-to-earth and positive approach to family life. They have created a happy, relaxed home environment and are looking for a nanny who will complement this dynamic. Due to work commitments, there may be occasional periods where a flexible and dependable approach is appreciated.
They are seeking someone who will become a trusted and valued presence in the home, bringing a fun, caring and nurturing energy, and who can confidently support the children in a way that aligns with the family’s values and approach.
The Role
The successful candidate will primarily care for the family’s baby during the day, with wraparound care for the older child before and after pre-school, and for both children during school holidays.
The role involves caring for two children aged 4 years and 9 months, supporting their individual routines while creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where they can thrive.
Working hours:
• Monday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
• Tuesday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Wednesday: Not required
• Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Duties Will Include
• Providing attentive and nurturing care, primarily for the baby
• Supporting with nursery drop-offs and pick-ups as required
• Planning fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities and outings
• Encouraging development through play, interaction and routine
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Supporting daily routines including naps and feeding
• Children’s laundry and organisation
• General tidying and day-to-day household support
• Running occasional errands such as food shopping
(The family employ a cleaner, so this is light day-to-day support rather than heavy housekeeping.)

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ childcare experience
• Experience caring for babies, ideally from 6 months+
• Enhanced DBS certificate (update service preferred)
• Current Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Full UK driving licence and own car
• Appropriate business-use insurance
• Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile
• Excellent, checkable references
