We are looking for a calm, fun, unflappable and experienced full-time career Nanny who is on the ball and able to join a lovely household. The family have three wonderful children ages 1 month, 5 and almost 8 years old. We are looking for someone to work on a sole charge, long-term basis in a team with mum who will be on maternity leave for the next year. You need to be confident and proactive to support busy hands-on parents with their children and their busy schedules. You will rarely be caring for all three on your own. It is a bonus if the nanny speaks native Russian, English or German.

It is important you are highly organised, a good timekeeper and can take initiative to plan ahead. Although mum is breastfeeding, you will be supporting her by caring for the baby while the older two are at school, keeping everything running efficiently. In the afternoons there will be a mix of teamwork depending on the day and the children’s activities. It is essential you are a team player, like attention to detail and have a positive, upbeat “can do” attitude, as the role requires the nanny to collaborate with their housekeeper/nanny and chef.

The family are looking for someone who has experience with multiple children, including working with babies (ideally from 3 months) and school ages so you can support their different needs and stages of development.

It is important you can have fun and engage with the children in a positive way taking an interest in each child individually. The parents really value their children’s education and would love a developmentally focussed nanny who can challenge the children and support them to reach their potential and milestones. The most important thing is that you genuinely love children and are very kind to them.

This role will suit a very patient, playful, engaging professional nanny who is able to talk to children at their level. The parents are super supportive, really value their nanny and have created a lovely working environment for everyone working in their home. They would like someone who is confident, able to offer them advice and suggestions, while also respecting their values and routines.

You must be a fluent English speaker and have a kind and positive approach. The ideal nanny will add value by taking a genuine interest in the older children and also contribute to their development by nurturing their interests.

LOCATION: Belsize Park, NW3

START: Ideally beginning of May

DAYS: Monday to Friday

HOURS: 9.30 am – 7.30 pm (flexibility to start at 10 am and finish at 8pm on certain days) Total = 50

SALARY: Excellent gross market rate

REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 8 years working as a nanny with babies from 3 months and school ages in previous roles
• Excellent checkable references
• Experience with weaning/feeding and following routines
• Having a solid understanding of the milestones and stages of development for babies and young children
• Childcare qualifications and professional development are valued
• Ability to work as part of a wider household team with existing housekeeper/nanny and chef
• Open and flexible to support with travel several times a year and babysit on occasion
• Punctual, reliable, flexible, energetic and hardworking
• Driving licence is a strong preference
• Confident at using technology for tasks related to children
• Experience with SEN children would be a bonus, as oldest boy has very mild ASD

Duties:
• All nursery duties and keep the children’s areas tidy and organised
• Cook fresh healthy meals for the children if chef is on holiday
• Pick up older children from school every day (10-15-minute walk)
• Stimulate the children’s social development through conversation and engaging play
• Follow, implement and adapt routines as baby gets older e.g., nap times
• Suggest and take children to local activities, classes
• Packing and unpacking for holidays
• Support with homework for older children
