A fantastic opportunity for a professional, engaging, and proactive Support Worker to support a wonderful 20-year-old young lady. This role offers a mix of evening and weekend hours and includes lots of enjoyable outings and activities that Mary loves.
Pay: £15.53 weekdays | £16.56 weekends | £30.06 bank holidays (gross per hour)
Location: Daventry/Welton
Driver: Essential – manual licence required (WAV provided on duty)
Essential: Experience supporting a young person/adult with a learning disability. Good cooking skills, Non-smoker/vaper *Female applicants only
Desirable: Experience with non-verbal communication. Use of visual aids (e.g. Picture Cards, Makaton)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 6:00pm to 10:00pm + additional cover shifts

About Mary: Mary is a delightful 20-year-old with a cheeky grin, strong personality, and great sense of humour. She is non-verbal but communicates clearly using gestures, facial expressions, pointing, Picture Cards and some Makaton.
She has a learning disability and enjoys an active lifestyle, including swimming, trampolining, trips out, and relaxing at home. She moves confidently around her home and is supported by a multidisciplinary team (Physio, OT, SALT, Behaviour Therapy).
The Role: You will support Mary with: Daily routines and personal care, accessing the community and activities, Communication using her preferred methods, and promoting independence and wellbeing.
You’ll work 2:1 within her family home and out in the community, following structured guidance and collaborating with her wider team.
Who This Role Would Suit: A calm, patient, and observant *female Support Worker with experience (or some experience) in learning disabilities. Someone with a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and a willingness to learn and develop.
