Part Time Nanny Role – St Albans (One Week in Three)

Start Date: August (flexible for the right candidate)

Location: St Albans

Salary: £17 to £19 gross per hour

?A lovely, welcoming family based in St Albans are looking for an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their little boy, aged 13 months at the start of the role.

This is a slightly unique position, working one week in every three (Monday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm), making it a great opportunity for a nanny looking for a flexible, part time arrangement.

About the Role
You will be caring for a happy, relaxed and curious little boy who enjoys being active and is beginning to explore the world around him. He thrives with a calm, engaging approach and enjoys Montessori style play. He is also at the early stages of potty training and has a well established routine, including a regular afternoon nap.

Duties will include:
• Supporting the daily routine
• Planning fun, age appropriate activities
• Encouraging Montessori style play and learning
• Preparing and supporting meals
• Getting out and about for fresh air, local classes and playdates
• Supporting nap times and transitions
• Light child related duties such as laundry and keeping play areas tidy

The Family Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
• Warm, patient and genuinely passionate about working with children
• Experienced and confident (not entry level)
• Familiar with Montessori principles (desirable)
• Reliable, communicative and proactive
• Focused on supporting development in a gentle, engaging way

Additional Information:
• One parent is often working from home
• There is a very friendly, hypoallergenic toy poodle in the home

This is a really lovely role for a nanny looking to become part of a family and support a young child through an important stage of development, within a flexible and slightly different working pattern.
