fully staffed home to work both sole charge and shared care capacity to look after 3 boys ages 4, 2 and 12 months old

The family are looking for a kind, fun nanny who is both energetic with the kids but also able to bring a sense of calm into the home. This is a long-term position looking after 3 boys ages 4, 2 and 12 months old. The 2 older children are in full time school and nursery. Mum is very hands on with the children and is looking for a great support someone who is able to take both shared and sole charge of the of all 3 outside of school hours and during the school holidays. Mum is sometimes around but sometimes she is not - so it is important for the nanny to feel comfortable to work as both part of a team but also on their own.

The suitable candidate will have experience working with toddlers and school age children; someone who has a genuine love for children and who can help them reach their developmental milestones in a fun, engaging way.

The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who loves being outdoors, someone energetic, and has ability to be lots of fun but also understands safety is paramount. Someone who can support the boys with their development through fun and engaging activities. It is important to be a confident swimmer and happy to be in the water when the family are travelling.

It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm and positive attitude, and who can be both caring and firm. The nanny should be outgoing and be able to help with supporting the older children with simple homework and reading and being organised with ensuring school bags are packed.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the kitchen, the nanny will be expected to help with meal planning and preparing fresh healthy meals for the family and introducing the children to a wide range of different cuisines and flavours.
The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references. A confident driver is a bonus
Duties include, but not limited to:
• PA/admin related to children
• HK and laundry related to children
• Preparing meals and snacks and cleaning up afterwards
• Reading to the children
• Playing with toys
• Doing fun activities including sports and social arrangements and play dates with the children
• Encouraging the children’s learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and toys have been put away
• Sorting out the children’s laundry
• Instilling a sense of adventure and fun
• Teaching kindness and good manners
• Child related housekeeping duties such as children’s linen, laundry, bedrooms as well as keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Occasional travel with the family usually Eater, Summer and Christmas (and be happy to share a room with children)
• Be able to work as part of a team with mum
• To work in a staffed home
