Rotananny
A lovely UHNW family based in Zurich, Switzerland, are seeking an experienced and nurturing Rota Nanny to care for their curious and active two-year-old daughter.
Working a 7 days on / off schedule, alongside a second Nanny, this is an exciting and varied position for a dedicated childcare professional with a background in Montessori or Early Years education and a genuine passion for supporting early development through play-based, child-led learning.
The role is well supported – the family employ two Nanny/Housekeepers, ensuring the successful candidate can focus entirely on delivering exceptional, consistent care. A private apartment separate from the main residence is provided whilst on duty.
There are two Rota Nanny positions available, and this would work well for two nannies who have worked successfully together before.
Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Zurich, Switzerland, include:
- Provide nurturing, age-appropriate care tailored to the needs of a two-year-old
- Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate activities with a strong emphasis on Montessori principles and creative, child-led learning
- Manage and support the child’s daily schedule, including sleep and feeding routines
- Prepare balanced, nutritious meals in keeping with the family’s preferences
- Work in close collaboration with the parents, the rota Nanny, and the wider household team to ensure consistent, high-standard care
- Prepare for and accompany the family on frequent international trips, ensuring a seamless and settled experience for the child
- Ensure all environments, both at home and whilst travelling, are clean, calm, and child-safe
Candidates must be/have:
- Qualified in Montessori or Early Years education
- Proven experience as a Rota Nanny working with infants and toddlers within fully staffed, UHNW households
- Warm, emotionally intelligent, and deeply committed to nurturing child development
- Experienced and comfortable working a rota, with the ability to hand over seamlessly and maintain consistency of care
- Highly resilient and flexible in approach
- Discreet, polished, and confident operating within a shared care environment
- Fluent English required; knowledge of French, Italian, or German is a strong asset
- Holds an EU passport or Swiss residency/citizenship
- A strong team player who thrives in collaborative, well-run households
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively with the family to international destinations
Accommodation
- A separate private apartment close to the family home is provided.
