Nanny-Personal Assistant
We are looking for a warm, engaging, and proactive Driving Nanny/PA/Family Assistant to support a lovely family with two bright and kind children aged 9 and nearly 12. The children attend different schools, so the family is looking for someone highly organised, energetic, and confident behind the wheel, as school drop-offs and pick-ups will be needed (schools are approximately 15 minutes away). Hours will be 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday but the nanny can take breaks in the day to relax or go to the gym when the children are in school.

The position can be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis. For a live-in candidate, the family will provide amazing private separate accommodation in their garden, including a small bedroom, own bathroom, living area and kitchenette. They also have a very sweet and much-loved dog, although no pet care is required as part of the role unless the nanny loves walking the dog occasionally.

This is very much a nanny-first role with additional PA and family assistant responsibilities. The ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy spending time with school-age children, supporting their education, helping to foster confidence and independence, and planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities during school holidays. Someone who is naturally warm, tactile, kind, and proactive, able to make the children feel relaxed, supported, and at ease, will thrive in this role.

A strong understanding of the academic side of childcare is important, as the parents are looking for someone who can help take the pressure off busy family life by staying on top of school-related responsibilities. The nanny should be tech-savvy and confident navigating school portals, managing schedules and communications, overseeing homework routines, helping the children stay organised, and encouraging good study habits. This is not a tutoring role, as the children already have tutors, but the nanny should be confident reinforcing learning by helping the children practise spellings, learn lines, revise for tests, and understand what is expected of them by guiding and encouraging rather than doing the work for them.

The family are also very focused on maintaining healthy routines and habits within the home. The nanny should enjoy preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks for the children, with an emphasis on nutritious home cooking and minimal processed food. The role will also involve helping to plan meals and managing the family’s weekly online food shopping.

The parents place great importance on manners, boundaries, and leading by example. Screen time is carefully managed within the household, with iPads only permitted at set times and no apps allowed on the older child’s phone. The family are therefore looking for a nanny who is an excellent role model - someone fully engaged with the children, who is present, interactive, and not frequently on their own phone around them.

The family are professional, down-to-earth, and respectful employers looking for someone who will become a valued and long-term part of their household. They are seeking a candidate with a positive, can-do attitude, who is happy to muck in, and support wherever needed. A high level of reliability, flexibility and honesty is essential. Previous experience working with London schools and in a similar nanny/family assistant or household support role is highly desirable, alongside a genuine love of working with school-age children.

Alongside childcare responsibilities, you will provide high-level family and household support, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day life. Duties all related to the children will include running errands, diary coordination, logistics management, and general organisation. This role requires excellent communication skills, initiative, strong organisational ability, and someone who naturally plans ahead and thrives in a busy family environment.
