Nanny
The family are looking for a live-in driving nanny who would like a long-term position looking after 3 girls ages 9, 7 and 4½ years old. The role will be sole charge and shared care with mum outside of nursery and school hours.
The working hours are M-F wrap around care with a big part of the day free for a nanny to explore London or study or take on extra work and more hours would be needed during the school holidays. The suitable candidate will have some experience and confidence working with preschool and primary school age children. Someone playful and fun and someone organised who can help arrange fun activities for the children.
The family are relaxed and laid back and the right fit is someone who has a genuine love for children and an interest in their development; someone who can help them reach their full potential in a fun, engaging way. Mum is very present and hands on and would love someone to join their family who is able to help the children with their academic learning and education.
The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who loves being outdoors, someone energetic, and has ability to be lots of fun but also understands safety is paramount. The nanny should be able to come up with fun and creative activities ensuring the children are engaged and stimulated in a fun and nurturing environment.
It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm and positive attitude, and who can be both caring and firm.
The family offer lovely accommodation, a double bedroom and en suite shower room for the nanny. Someone independent and is able to enjoy being part of a family but understands boundaries and is able to enjoy their free time visiting London and meeting up with friends.
We are looking for someone who is able to help with meal prep and simple, fresh cooking for the children.
The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• Getting children dressed and ready in the morning
• Drop off/collection to nursery and school – confident driver is a must
• Cooking– someone who can help with simple cooking
• Encouraging learning and development through different activities
• Reading with children
• Supervising simple homework
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and toys have been put away
• Sorting out children’s laundry and managing wardrobe
• Child related housekeeping duties
• Driver is a bonus but not essential
