Rota Housekeeper

Salary: From £50,000+ gross per annum, depending on experience

On behalf of my UHNW employer based in Chelsea, I (the PA) am seeking an experienced, mature and highly professional Housekeeper to join their long-term household team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a warm, welcoming and well-organised family home. The household is fully staffed, relatively informal in atmosphere, and values professionalism, discretion and a positive team spirit.

The successful candidate will work alongside another Housekeeper on a rota basis, sharing responsibility for maintaining the home to an exceptional standard while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

As the Principal is expecting a baby, we are particularly interested in candidates who have a naturally caring, thoughtful and supportive nature. The family is looking for someone who enjoys creating a calm, organised and beautifully maintained environment and who takes pride in anticipating needs and quietly ensuring everything runs smoothly.

The family also has a dog, so candidates must be comfortable around dogs and willing to assist with occasional dog walking when required.

Duties & Responsibilities
Full housekeeping to an exceptionally high standard
Laundry, ironing, pressing and wardrobe management
Maintaining immaculate presentation and organisation throughout the home
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the household
Occasional simple meal preparation and light service duties when required
Providing practical and thoughtful support to the Principal as needed
Assisting with the family dog, including occasional walks
Working collaboratively with the wider household team
Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Schedule
Five days per week
Maximum 45 hours per week
Rotational shifts shared with the other Housekeeper
Typical shifts may include:
7:30am – 4:30pm
1:00pm – 10:00pm
Flexibility required, including occasional weekend work as part of the rota

Requirements
Previous experience working within UHNW private households is essential
Excellent housekeeping, laundry and garment care skills
High standards and strong attention to detail
Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently
Calm, discreet and highly reliable
Comfortable taking initiative and anticipating household needs
Positive, service-oriented and professional approach
Comfortable working within a private family environment
Dog friendly
