Job Summary

This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced nightly maternity nurse who enjoys guiding first-time parents through the early weeks with calm, practical support and reassurance. A first-time family are seeking an experienced Nightly Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their baby this summer.

The family are looking for somebody knowledgeable and reassuring who can help them establish healthy feeding and sleeping foundations while providing practical guidance and support throughout the newborn period. Mum is hoping to breastfeed, although the family’s priority is ensuring the baby is well fed and thriving. They would therefore value a maternity nurse who can support feeding in a flexible and supportive manner, adapting to whatever works best for both mum and baby. As first-time parents, they are looking for somebody who can answer questions, offer guidance and help build confidence as they settle into family life. They would particularly appreciate support around sleep, routines and understanding their baby’s needs during the early weeks.


Job Specification

• Providing overnight care for a newborn baby
• Supporting breastfeeding and feeding choices as required
• Assisting with healthy sleep foundations and routines
• Offering practical guidance and reassurance to first-time parents
• Supporting parental rest and recovery overnight
• Managing nursery duties related to the baby
• Helping the family build confidence during the newborn stage
