Private Family – Kensington

A busy and welcoming family in Kensington is looking for a talented Nanny/PA to become a key part of their household. The role centres on the care of their seven-year-old son, with additional PA and light house management responsibilities alongside.

This will suit someone who is equally comfortable managing a school schedule and liaising with tutors as they are rolling their sleeves up for an afternoon of fun with a young boy. Above all, the family are looking for someone with real warmth, great energy and a genuine commitment to doing things well.

The Role
Childcare
You will be the primary daytime carer for a bright, active seven-year-old boy – managing school runs, after-school activities, playdates and the day-to-day logistics that come with that. You will bring consistency, warmth and good energy to his routine, and be someone he genuinely looks forward to spending time with. The family want someone who can be a real role model – someone with good values and a grounded presence – while also being fun, engaged and able to connect with him on his level. The best version of this role is someone who manages both of those things at once.

School & Education
You will take ownership of all school administration – managing the school calendar, handling communications with teachers, coordinating with tutors, tracking homework and deadlines, and keeping the family well-informed and ahead of anything that needs their attention.

PA Support
Alongside the childcare, you will provide capable, discreet PA support to the family – managing calendars, coordinating travel and appointments, handling correspondence and research, and generally keeping things moving efficiently behind the scenes.

House Management
You will take on light house management responsibilities – overseeing deliveries, coordinating with household contractors and service providers, managing household supplies and ensuring the home runs smoothly day to day.

Light Housekeeping
You will handle light housekeeping tasks related to the child – washing and caring for his clothing, folding and keeping his wardrobe tidy and well-organised, and maintaining order in the playroom including toys, books and equipment. The aim is simply to keep his spaces neat, functional and easy to navigate day to day.

What We’re Looking For
– Solid experience working with children in the 7–9 age range, ideally with boys
– Warm, grounded and energetic – someone who genuinely enjoys this kind of work
– A natural role model: reliable, positive and principled, whilst also being playful and easy to connect with
– Excellent command of English; additional languages are a real advantage
– Strong knowledge of the Kensington area
– Comfortable managing school admin and working alongside educational professionals
– Good tech skills and confidence with digital tools and communication platforms
– Highly organised, resourceful and calm under pressure
– A clear and confident communicator – with the family, the school, tutors and third parties
– Happy to take on light housekeeping duties – children’s laundry, wardrobe organisation and keeping the playroom in good order
– Discreet and professional as a matter of course
